Historically in companies, voice communications were managed by finance and administration, and information systems were managed by IT services. There was little integration between these two worlds and suppliers tended to focus in one field or the other. Today, business networks and informations systems are converging into the one field of information and communications technology (ICT). Businesses are seeking the advantages brought by integrated systems with voice, data and video all carried and managed as IP traffic.

Most service providers operate in a narrow field which means that many customers end up acting as integrators trying to make systems work across disparate providers. At Turnstone we are expert in both IT and communications, to be system integrators for our customers and network managers. However, we recognise we cannot be experts in every field and have built a strong network of ICT integrators, application developers and network providers who partner with us to deliver customer solutions and resolve specialist technical issues.
